FAQ

What is unique about your practice?

My practice is centered on making: artists make art works, curators make exhibitions, and healers make solutions to address their client’s specific needs. I focus on the whole person in his/her contemporary state by investigating their real time circumstances, their short and long-term goals, beliefs, emotions, health challenges, and spiritual awareness. All these factors inform the way in which I advocate and partner with our clients to meet their needs. My practice utilizes a number of healing modalities and leverages accumulated art world professional experience and networks.

Please be clear, I do not diagnose, prescribe, treat, or cure disease. I draw on my repository of herbalism training, centered within Palo Mayombe, and your health history to offer you informed recommendations and courses of action. Always consult your primary licensed health care provider before taking any herbal remedies, especially while pregnant, lactating, and/or if you have a chronic health condition.

Shouldn’t healing services be cheap, if not free?

Professional healers invest significant time, money, and in-kind resources to acquire and maintain the knowledge and training they offer to their clientele. Any healer who is actively advocating for and assisting in the healing of others, must consistently take care of their own spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being. This too costs time and money. The quality of service a healer offers his or her clients, is reflected in the pricing. Each client case is treated as singular and accorded the highest level of attention, care, and discretion.

What if i don't live in or near Seattle?

Most services can be performed regardless of location. Arrangements can be made - at the client’s expense - for healing services that must be performed at the client’s location.
